Member of the reality-based community of progressive (not anonymous) Massachusetts blogs
I guess this is my introduction to the local political blogging scene!
I feel like there ought to be a champagne bottle breaking onto something, but that would ruin my keyboard. So I’ll skip that part.
What about me? I’m originally from New Hampster (I’m sure you’ll see some snarky comments about my home state). I’ve been in Lowell two years, and in the general Lowell area a total of four. I’ve been getting involved in local politics here, volunteering with progressive activist groups, running my business (graphics and web design), and generally getting connected. I think Lowell is a great city with lots of potential, but also a lot of problems. I’d like to be able to help out in some small way, and besides…no one else has a political blog in Lowell, at least as far as I know. I’ve been reading the big league blogs (Daily Kos, Atrios) as well as local MA blogs, for a while, and thought I would jump into the fray.
Personally, I’d love for this to eventually be a group blog, and I do know some verbose people who have a lot to say. For now, though, you’ll have to put up with me. It’s been a while since I wrote on a regular basis, so feedback is appreciated.
