…because the sweetness comes from the downfall of those infected with hubris. AmericaBlog has a good roundup of the most recent coverage of Karl Rove the Wondertreasonist. Harken!

I feel like a 6 year old on christmas as I watch this unfold. This guy is gonna go down hard and man, does he deserve it. He’s such a repulsive pig of a human being, and what goes around always comes around….

You know for a fact that Bush will never fire him. Not until the perp walk. I’m not holding my breath. I do hope he’ll be indicted. But it might not come to pass.
However, this hits this administration with the corrupt stick; people are awakening to their rampant abuse (suddenly, everything else progressives have been saying sounds a LOT more plausible) and the media coverage on this is astounding. I think primarily because it involves so many media figures getting in trouble. They were used, and they know it. Now everyone knows it. So it hits home for them like nothing (not the Downing St Memos, not the 16 words on Niger, nothing) ever has.
Couldn’t happen to a better sleazeball, if you ask me. Rove’s notoriously dirty (sometimes not quite legal) political tricks had to come back on him sometime. He thought he’d have immunity forever. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. I usually try to keep politics about the policies and actions of an elected figure, and not make too many personal attacks…but I admit, this one is super-sweet. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy.
