Drinking Liberally Tomorrow; Visit Quebec

by at 1:03 pm.

Tomorrow night is as always Drinking Liberally. We’ve had a small but devoted crew the last two weeks, but we want more! So if you think a pint and some liberal conversation is just the thing to counteract the Monday blues, come on down tomorrow at 7:30pm to The Brewery Exchange at 201 Cabot Street. We’re up on the second floor.

And this Thursday, October 6th, you can visit Quebec! Or rather, it’s visiting us. It’s Destination World: Quebec this month. Come and let the Esprit Quebecois of my ancestors (yes, I am 100% Quebecker) take you away to the Great White North. If they are really genuine you might find someone serving poutine (french fries with what I call squeaky cheese - curds - and gravy or other meat sauce). Guaranteed to stop the heart! Every year we used to go to Quebec to visit my grandmother and uncle, and we’d always come back with a bag of curds, and of course maple syrup from my great-uncle’s farm. Mmmm mmmm good!

Lowell’s Destination World

On the First Thursday of each month from 5 - 9 pm, DESTINATION WORLD, Lowell’s newest monthly “trip around the world,” will transform Downtown Lowell into a distant land by featuring movies, outdoor video projections, art, dance, music, creative workshops, special dining experiences, and family fun! Start your adventure on Market Street at the National Park Visitors’ Center. There you can pick up your itinerary for the evening. Select a movie, choose a restaurant, learn a new dance step, sing a new song… the adventure is yours to choose!
