This is mostly for the edification of my fellow BlogLeft participants. I will be posting an agenda later today (I have biz meetings and onsite client work to get done first) but I thought I would mention the following:
We will have candidates for various state offices coming to meet and greet bloggers. I don’t want to turn the whole event into a political one, but it is also the case we all need to meet our candidates and this is a good place for them to do that efficiently. Here’s the rundown on the meet-and-greet guest list that’s formed:
During check-in in the AM (10:30 - 11, but we’ll be there from 10am onward for sure, so feel free to come early):
Worcester Mayor Tim Murray, candidate for Lt. Gov. (also doing a greeting as the mayor welcoming us to his town)
State Senator Jarrett Barrios, candidate for Middlesex DA
John Bonifaz, candidate for Secretary of State
After lunch:
Representative Mike Festa, also candidate for Middlesex DA
We will also have “live bloggers,” so readers, please check this website or other MA blogs for the link on Friday and Saturday, and you can read some of our bloggers’ impressions of the meeting.

When is this taking place?

Slight correction, Lynne on two items…Mike Festa is in the House of Representatives, not the Senate,
and the last name is spelled F-e-s-t-a! You got it right the first time in an earlier blog…:)
He’ll be dropping by around 12:30 or so…

I think Gerry Leone should be extended an invite, I think you
can contact his campaign at www.gerryleone.com
I’ll be there, thanks again

I was in a wicked hurry, had an appt to go to, thanks Fez.
KRS: This is for Saturday, Dec 10th, in Worcester.
LOL, I never extended an invite to anyone, they came to me (or other people) and asked! Which is why I didn’t post about it, it was never planned that way.

In the words of my favorite MDP member, Kate Donaghue (by way of Field of Dreams, natch) “If you build it, they will come.”
This pleases me no end. About a year ago when I would go to political meetings or events and I mentioned that I was a blogger, I would usually be asked, “what’s a blog?” or folks would just give me a blank stare.
Now we have candidates for statewide office crashing (in a good way) our conference. Good on you, Lynne for helping bloggers take this thing to the next level.
