I hate to do this to you all, but I have very little time to write today. So, if you have something you want to talk about, here’s your Open Thread!

Lynne, I haven’t checked Left in Lowell for a while. Open thread, hmmm…
a chance maybe to plug the Greater Lowell for Peace and Justice (GLPJ) Open House this Sunday 10/1?
We’ll be meeting from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Coalition for a Better Acre (CBA) offices at 517 Moody Street, 3rd floor, in Lowell.
This is a chance for people to come by and find out what we’re up to these days. We’ve got lots of things we’d like to do but we need more people.
In times like these wouldn’t everyone want work with their local peace group?
Thanks,
Rick

I will be interested to see if the press picks up on Patrick quote about the Ben LaGuer case and how he handles it if anything comes of it.

Rick, you are always welcome to plug GLPJ here!
Seriously, guys, if you are at all interested in justice, or peace, check out GLPJ’s open house. We’ve done a lot of great local events over the last three years…the only thing we hope for is that someday, the Peace and Justice group will work their way out of a job, if war and injustice become obsolete!

It looks like the CM is ending the practice of providing health insurance to the members of the city boards, citing not only a $300K per year cost savings, but also a measure of fairness, as this type of benefit is not provided to other employees that work less than 20 hrs per week.

Can I just say, I am becoming a Lynch fan very quickly? THAT is a GREAT decision.
