Update: Yes, I can now do audio files on this blog, but not Gov. Patrick’s…it seems that the encoding on their files and the Flash player that PodPress (and most other audio plugins) use do not get along. Hence, Patrick’s voice sounds slloooow and deeeep. (A word to the Patrick IT Team - here’s some info on that bug.)

Not so fast…I had to take this post down three times because I was searching for a way to take the file and encode it properly…but I didn’t find a decent free encoder yet (I know they are out there!) so alas, not this time.

Lynne, check out audacity and the lame encoder.. those are the best for open source tools
I use a commercial prodcut (sony vegas) for all my video and audio work
