New Media in a Local Context

by at 9:41 pm.

(Disclosure: I’m involved with Kristin’s campaign and the creation of her website.)

Several weeks ago, Kristin Ross-Sitcawich launched a website with information about her campaign and positions. Now, we’ve brought it several steps further into the new media landscape. The centerpiece is a homepage video where Kristin introduces herself to voters directly, and talks about why she’s running.

Other features we’ve added include information on how to register to vote or find your polling place, an Ask Kristin a Question section, a place where voters can share their ideas for Lowell with her, and embedded Flickr photo galleries. And of course, you can still contact Kristin to volunteer, or donate online. And she has more ideas for future new media innovations, as well as more content to post, in the upcoming months!

If you can, you want to try and have something on the main page about specific upcoming events, rather than having to click to find it.

    Also the video looks great.
