Junking Out On ‘08
I apologize for the lack of posting. It seems I have caught the ‘08 primary bug and what spare time I usually use for blogging, is being co-opted by reading the big national blogs on the presidential race.
Plus, we’re just now leaving the lull of the holiday season with local politics, so there hasn’t been much to say that hasn’t been said. There have been a few interesting fireworks (like this interesting post on the SC blowup by Dick) but by and large it’s been quiet. (Some would say, toooo quiet!)
So I took the opportunity to recharge the batteries, deal with the very busy holidays, and get some work done. (You know, the kind that pays.) I’m hoping for an uneventful start to the new City Council, but I know that’s pushing it. 
Going back to my temporary obsession, tomorrow is the NH primary, and it looks like Obama has gotten a bounce in the polls, leading Clinton up to 10 points for tomorrow’s content. Normally, there’s a month between Iowa and NH, and a month in politics is a eon where anything can happen, but with the schedule so truncated this year, Obama doesn’t need to do much to capitalize on his Iowa bounce. If what people are saying is true, and Clinton allies are the ones responsible for arranging the schedule this way, thinking it would benefit her, well, she’s being hoisted on her own petard.
I believe that Edwards is unlikely to recover, looking at the polls, which is both unfortunate (I like him) and fortunate (the sooner a dominant anti-Clinton candidate appears, the better).
