GOTV in RI for Obama Tomorrow

by at 3:43 pm.

I got this info from a colleague who is working for Obama in tomorrow’s Rhode Island primary:

Barack Obama has been endorsed by many of the leading progressive politicians of Massachusetts. Both senators Kerry and Kennedy have endorsed him for president. The governor, Deval Patrick, who ran a great grassroots progressive campaign is a co-chair for him. And more locally, State Rep. Jamie Eldridge, who ran a strong grassroots campaign for congress, has also given Obama his backing. The Massachusetts primary has come and gone, but there is still crucial work that you can do to help his campaign.

The Rhode Island primary is coming up tomorrow, March 4th. Current polls show Clinton with a slight edge, but due to Obama’s strong ground organization we believe we can close the gap and carry the state. YOUR help is urgently needed to help Barack Obama get the votes needed to win Rhode Island!

Political activists, students, and many others will be coming down from Massachusetts to help the Obama campaign in this neighboring state on election day. Our goal is to directly contact every Obama supporter and make sure they get out to the polls. Many people are coming down by themselves, but we also have carpooling locations and vans available for groups of people to head down to help put Obama over the top.

Whether you are available all day from 8am until polls close at 9pm, for either a morning or afternoon shift, or for a few hours after work until the polls close, you help can and will make a big difference.

You can get more information on how to participate at http://my.barackobama.com/GOTVinRI or sign up to volunteer at http://my.barackobama.com/page/content/rioosgotv.
Alternatively, you can contact the Massachusetts student volunteer coordinator, Wynne Lundblad, at 617-817-6708 or the general Massachusetts volunteer coordinator, Brandyn Keating, at 508-982-2247.

Or, you can just show up anytime at the central Providence campaign office during the day located at 325 Westminster St. in downtown Providence, RI.

I thank you for your time and hope that some of you can come down and support your neighbors in RI in their effort to make Obama’s historic campaign a reality.

Yes We Can!!!

Or…to volunteer for Hillary Clinton tomorrow in Rhode Island, contact her RI headquarters at 401-751-HILL or stop by her office located at 175 Broad Street in Providence. People will be making calls, knocking on doors, and holding signs all throughout the day. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    NO YOU CANT’T!!!

Hillary Clinton is the only true Democrat left in this race. Enough with the Obama socialist agenda. America has finally woken from its sleep and has witnessed Obama for what he is. He doesn’t care about changing NAFTA and bringing jobs back to the U.S.A.; he cares about growing the Third World economies on the backs of the working class in this great nation.

Barack Hussein Obama has far more in common with the likes of Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro than the blue collar workers right here on Main Stree U.S.A.

If the socialist aganda is so foolhardy to steal this elction from the last true Democrat, Hillary Clinton, then every last luch bucket Dem will be joining the John McCain campaign. America is ready to elect either a woman or African American as President. America will never elect the socialist Barack Hussein Obama.

Give me a break…lovely drive-by posting here from someone we’ve never heard of.

What’s with the bullsh*t socialist claim? It doesn’t seem to me that Clinton or Obama are actually that far apart on the issues. So if Obama is socialist, so is Clinton.

Knock off the drive-by shilling, it hurts your candidate, not helps it.

  4. Lunch Bucket Dem Says:

No!. and stop your profanity, it is totally uncalled for but I would expect nothing less from an Obama fanatic. What exactly does this guy stand for anyway? Seems like only illegal aliens and froeigners from Third World countries would benefit from an Obama Presiency while us Main Street blue collar workers continue to get screwed. Just say no to Barack Hussein Obama Socialism. Neither Bill or Hillary is anything remotely close to Socialist, and this is the reason you despise them so. Face the facts, Obama is a Black Dennis Kucinich nut. No thank you. If Obama was not Black, he would have been out of this race as quick as an Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson. There are many competent African American politicians and businessmen or women, Obama is not one of them.

Just look to his friend and campaign co-chair Deval “Missing In Action” Patrick. How about universal healthcare in Massachusetts Deval? Nah he says, why not make all State union workers making over $50,000 annually to pay more (25% that is) towards there share of health care premiums. Can anyone say PAYCUT folks. Is this the Change you want to see for America??? Screw the working class, and more welfare for illegal aliens??? It is time to wake up and realize that this is 2008, gender and race should have nothing to do with electing the best candidate to lead this nation. Unfortunatley Obamamania is only about race. 80% of all Blacks just want a Black President and the well to do Socialist wing of the Party wants to show the World how “progressive” (or more appropriately, stupid)America is. Obamamania is all about rascism. Obama does well in Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, and expects to do well in Mississippi. Anyone want to guess why that might be??? Hmmm.

Hillary Clinton has broad based support from the core of the Democratic Party, the blue collar worker. She has prevailed with large numbers in every major industrial state. Obama has won in the states with a huge Black population and the very rural (or more appropriately hardcore Republican) states. Obama brings nothing to the table but a few speeches and catch phrases. His plan is to tell people what they want to hear in order to get the votes, then worry about actually learning how to do the job later (A Recipe For Disaster and Failure).

Obama fanatic? Honey, that just proves you haven’t been reading my blog at all and are a drive-by shill from nowhere. I barely post on the national race at all, and I’m not without doubts about Obama to begin with. However, I did vote for him, and I don’t really like Clinton (for reasons of issues and her past votes, not anything personal…a feat which you seem to be incapable of).

But you, with that rhetoric, using very slimy talking points, are - almost - lying and slandering. Not to mention, making your own candidate look like crap. But, again, keep at it, if you really want Clinton supporters to look like shilling negative liars who would rather hurt a fellow Democrat than win the election in the fall.

And buddy, this is my blog, if I want to be profane to make a point, who the hell are you to tell me to stop? Go get your own blog. Get off of mine, if you don’t like it.
