Once again I am writing to encourage any music lovers out there to come to our concert, the last performance of the semester of the Dudley House Orchestra of Harvard University, Sunday, May 4, 4pm at the Sanders Theatre. (Previous post here.) It’s also Arts First weekend at Harvard, so there’s lots to do before and after if you want to make a day of it.
The program consists of Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto No. 1, which features cellist Alan Stepansky, Dvorak’s final symphonic work, A Hero’s Song, and Vasily Kalinnikov’s Symphony No. 1.
My husband put a map to the venue together which you can find here (PDF). And here is some other info that is interesting or helpful:
Sanders Theatre photos, a pretty neat old building: first pic, second, third.
Interior shots (again, really neat pics): first, second, third.
