Next Thursday, July 17th at downtown’s Brew’d Awakening, one of my favorite politicians in Massachusetts will be hosted at a fundraiser for his state Senate candidacy. It will take place at 8am to 9:30 (a breakfast).
The hosts are Senator Panagiotakos, Attorneys Michael Gallagher and Richard Cavanaugh, and former City Councilor and rival Congressional candidate Eileen Donoghue. Suggested donations are $500, $250, and $100. You can RSVP to RSVP@JamieEldridge.com, or call 978-452-0522. If you can’t make it but want to donate to his campaign, you can do so through the website.
Jen Benson is the Democratic candidate running in the 37th Middlesex district (Jamie Eldridge’s vacated seat). Last week, we interviewed her for Thinking Out Loud. Jen is a strong progressive, the Chair of the Lunenberg School Committee. I think you’ll find her an articulate and intelligent candidate. That is why I officially and wholeheartedly endorse Jen for the 37th Middlesex seat.
Her opponent, by the way, is none other than formerly “independent” Congressional candidate Kurt Hayes, who apparently has found his inner Republican (or rather, their funding). This is one of the races which the state Republican party will focus, so if you want to see a good progressive retain the seat, please donate to Jen.
And of course, you can listen to the interview below!
I was eating my breakfast and getting ready for work, watching HG-TV (a staple now that I own a house and a backyard). The show was a rerun of a 2007 Look What I Did, which showcases interesting and creative interior spaces. Lo and behold, a familiar Lowell face was interviewed about his unique space - Jerry Beck and the Revolving Museum.
Congrats to Jerry for getting on national TV with his interactive museum. It was funny seeing the big giant fur head on TV - in Technicolor!
