For the next couple of weeks, it’s likely that this site will have some wonkiness going on, as I work on phase one of the LiL 2.0 upgrade. With the software purchased and ready to begin development, I will need to do a couple of things to the existing site to get it ready for easy export of all the material in it.
Phase one consists of getting back up and running with existing functionality - posts and comments. Hopefully with the podcasting and other features intact, and all the archives with it, both posts and comments. There are a lot of both!
Once we’re in Beta development, us front pagers and perhaps some small group of regulars will try out the new system to be sure it works as expected before going live. (When it comes time, I will definitely call for volunteers!)
When we go live with phase one, I will, as I can, continue to work on some of the great new features that the new software can accomplish. I think our priority would be to get some form of user-contributed posts. I’m also hoping to create a rich text editing atmosphere to make it easier for everyone to format their comments and posts.
So, cross your fingers everyone!!
