Obamania

by at 1:59 pm.

I have to admit it, I am kind of smitten with the First Family. I know now how people felt about JFK and his young family back in the day. You do just have to see this slide show of the girls. It’ll melt the heart of even the hardest far-right conservative.

The tender moments with the hugs and kisses just help reaffirm what a great man we elected. I love the pictures of him on the go cart with his daughter just having a blast and the ones of him giving them kisses on the nose. He is just great all around!

Are right-wing Republicans capable of spontaneous, loving affection too? Just askin’.

Awesome. My favorite picture from this campaign is the shot of Sasha and her little blonde cousin standing next to each other in their dresses while the red, white, and blue confetti falls around them after Barack’s speech at the convention. I saw that shot and thought “I want to live in THAT country!”

The way Barack Obama and the women in his life look at each other - Michelle and the girls - convinced me that he’s not a heartless bastard, like so many people at the highest levels of power are. You can’t fake the energy between them, and little girls certainly can’t fake the honest, real, regular way they behave.

Now I want some big, colorful pictures of those girls chasing a puppy in the White House, and I want it yesterday!

Cyber, honestly, looking at the Bush family…I wouldn’t speak too soon…

Mama (Grandma) Bush…now THERE’s a warm person. *shudder* Not.
