Have the TV trucks left Lowell yet?

by at 5:46 pm.

Perhaps today’s press conference will signal the end of the invasion of the Boston media. They know no boundaries. Regarding the misfortunate the two young boys from Lowell who caught the flu, everyone in a position of authority, the parents, the school, the doctors, health department acted responsibly. Except for the media!

I cannot believe the herds descended on the schools and even in the children’s neighborhood. They even knocked on the door of their house. I believe a lot of this panic was drummed up so that people watch TV, buy newspaper and listen to the radio.

Just to show my disdain for the hysteria mongers, I feel like buying a ticket and flying down to Mexico. Of course, I would take Joe Biden with me.

Christine O’Conner sent out a press release inviting media to Lowell for an update today. There is also a press conference scheduled for Friday, same bat time, same bat place!

Now if no one told you about the Swine Flu, and it spread unabated in Lowell and elsewhere because no one knew…hmmm….media not doing it’s job!

I thought we already had a prime example of media not doing it’s job here in Lowell or should other media be excluded and we leave the questions and press conferences to the Sun? LOL

  2. Ryan Adams Says:

We live in a fear-based media. It’s one story to the next, all meant to stoke the fear. It sort of sickens me.

  3. Eleanor Rigby Says:

Or we could be kept in the dark.

  5. Always Right In Lowell Says:

Please, Please take Joe Biden somewhere… anywhere at all! Let’s pray Obama stays healthy. Palin is a day at the beach compared to Bumbling Biden.

  6. Fran McDougall Says:

If you take Joe to Mexico with you remember to spray the holes in his head with antibacterial soap.

  7. Christopher Says:

I agree about the overhyping. Will CNN go into “breaking news” mode everytime there is a new diagnosis? It sure seemed that way last night.
