If the Sun’s correct, this puts a spotlight on the School Committee race.
It also appears there is more than one person to whom these alleged threats were made, not just Superintendent Scott.
What I feel is that this is a sad day for the city, to have such a major distraction at such a troubled time. We need all hands on deck, and now, that will not be the case. I hope that Faticanti considers what is best for the education of our children when deciding whether or not to resign, and whether or not to run again. There’s really not much more to say on the matter.
Update: because the Lowell Sun website sucks so bad, the “breaking news” link is now broke. Here’s the link to the actual article about it. Until it, too, breaks in two weeks.
Also, anyone else notice that hitting the LowellSun.com logo does NOT take you to the home page? I mean, hi, web design 101 standard use of one’s header logo. Gah.
