If you like watching colorful explosions, you’ll have to wait for better, more guaranteed weather conditions. The Lowell fireworks events have been postponed from their initial Friday night slot, to 4 p.m. on Sunday, at the Sampas Pavilion on Pawtucket Boulevard. Several other events begin the festivities. From 4 to 7 pm there will be “music, entertainment, festive food and family fun.” From 7 to 9 pm: the Lowell High School Alumni Band will play. And at 9 pm, the fireworks begin along the Merrimack River.
Remember, parking is $3, which will go to support the Lowell High School Honor Society.

I said “more guaranteed”! As in, the weather man says that Sunday/Monday will be the nicest day (in a month, two months, whatever).
But yeah, point taken.
