Interesting that the Lowell Sun is going to stream live from the ‘Shamrock on Tuesday night as results come in. (It says a lot that they are going there instead of City Hall for official results, as Pangiotakos’ people spread throughout the city and get the results the fastest.) So you can watch the coverage live streaming on the web.
Is anyone else covering live that night? LTC? WCAP?

LTC usually covers live from City Hall.

I think that’s what they’re watching over at the Shamrock.

WCAP will begin its live broadcasting at 7:00 p/m.
In the past, the “Shamrock” event has been sponsored/coordinated by State Senator Steve Panagiatakos.
He and his staff have a pretty good system. They have at least one individual at each polling station who calls in the results once they are posted (around 8:15 - 8:30 p.m.) at the voting location. I am quite familiar with the process; I participate in 2006 during the gubernatorial race.
So, you receive an unofficial but relatively accurate voting result. I am not sure how it will work if we have a tight race that includes so many candidates.
As for LTC brocasting live from City Hall, I just checke their web site, and they have not posted anything yet. I know in the past, the official results were read by the Assistant City Manager live but I am not sure if it will happen this year.

Where will the city manager be following? Surely not at the Shamrock….
