Election Day Open Thread

by at 1:56 pm.

Sorry for the lack of posting, I’m trying to manage 2-3 people on 3 or more projects at once…including myself…not that I am complaining about having work, mind you, but it puts a crimp in my blogging lifestyle. :)

Have you headed out to the polls? What are you seeing? I’ve been hearing about very low turnout. Make sure you get out to vote, and when you do, vote Mike Capuano!

Jack Robinson’s gang had a bagpiper as part of their visibility in the North Station foyer this morning. That is certainly one way to wake sleepy commuters!

  2. Teddy P. Says:

Was number 61 at the Morey School a little after 12. Unless my memory fails me (which is entirely possible), I was number 64 at around the same time for the Lowell City Election. Turnout in 4-1 for November was 366 (23%).

The visual however, was completely different. No sign holders. No visual evidence of an election taking place there. Even the kids who sold sweets and snacks in November weren’t there this time.

  3. Kim Says:

I went at 9 Am and there was only one other person there.

  4. Paul Belley Says:

At 4pm I was No.132 at 5-3 no snacks or signs outside.Like Teddy said you would never know it was voting day.

  5. Thom Says:

My wife and I voted at 5:15PM at McCaullife school in Lowell. We were #219 and #220. Pretty sad when the polls have been open for 10 hours. No sign holders, no bake sales and not a single other voter in sight.

  6. Mimi Says:

This morning when I voted, I was 23. During the City Council election, when I voted at the same time, I was number 84. Not a good sign.

  7. Maggie Says:

My neighbor went about noon - said it was really quiet at the Bailey. I just got home from the hospital and after being there since 9 this morning with my husband, I am too tired to care. PS They kept him. He needs a colonoscopy.

  8. Mimi Says:

    Maggie:

Best wishes from the LiL family.

  9. Lynne Says:

    Yes, Maggie, best wishes.

  10. Paul Belley Says:

    Thoughts and Prayers
