Talk about breaking news night. The Sun is reporting:
City Manager Bernie Lynch terminated the head of the Inspectional Services Department on Thursday amid a state probe into that office.
Lynch said Commissioner Robert Camacho leaves under “mutual agreement.” Camacho immediately cleared out his office.
Lynch later Thursday announced that Rosemary Cashman, who retired earlier this month as town administrator of Tyngsboro, will serve as interim commissioner starting Monday.
OK, Bernie, any more shoes to drop today? LOL

Was Camancho fired because it is easier to fire the coach rather than the whole team or because he could not manage; i.e. nice guy but could not control the players?

-b… that is such a good question. He must have union protection. If anyone should go, it should be him.

I have a bank owned, abandoned home behind me. Immediately after my daughter told me she saw kids going into the place with a tank of propane, I called inspectional services.
Within 3 hours, there was a post on the door. Within 24 hours, the place was boarded up tight.
h/t to Bob Camacho.

And just what does Cashman know about inspectional servcies? Sorry - but I think dumping Camacho is a huge mistake. He got stuck with some political hacks and now Cashman is stuck with them. Lynch should be dumping some of the inpsectors. P.s. St-Hilaire is the only one the cops can get to some out at 2:00 in the morning to board up a problem.

Maggie, that IS funny. Do you think Hilaire is the one who actually boards things up? lol Hardly! Me thinketh his nineth lives have all been accounted for, and he is now trying to avoid any conflict. I heard he was even looking into retirement - god forbid he gets convicted and loses his retirement before he can retire!

Yeah..St. Hillaire will come out on OT (underline) at 2am. I might come out at 2am to work, were I to be given a nice chunk of change in OT. And were they to find him “responsible” for any illegal behavior, regardless of his retirement, he would lose it..
