Pretty cool event, the Lowell Film Collaborative is screening “The Invention of Lying” on Thursday, Feb. 18 at 7PM at The Old Court (upstairs), $5 at the door. This Lowell-shot movie, as you probably know, has a metric ton of familiar faces, Lowellians mugging for the camera as extras.
Plus familiar places!
I am ashamed to admit I didn’t see this in the theaters, yeah I know, so I’m gonna try to make this one.

Lynne - we rented the video yesterday - and loved it. We recognized just about all of the places shown . Enjoy!

I was on a plane from Boston to LA yesterday and they were shoing it….it was so cool to see home while flying away! It’s good no one was sitting next to me to get nudged when they showed somewhere I recognized.

Decent film — though I actually preferred Ghost Town.
I think I see a couple of familiar faces.

Another made in Lowel film, “The Fighter” should be coming out this year and some of those that have seen the early clips rate it very highly. But it may not be as pleasing a view of the local sights as the Invenetion of Lying.

Next..given the personalities profiled in the Fighter..I would not expect that the “roses” would be in full bloom.

The scene with Motel Caswell was a classic.
