Rachel Maddow puts it in stark, unblinking terms: there is no such thing as a reasonable elected Republican. That sounds like rhetoric, but seriously…time and again, the Republicans appear to be for some policy or other…only to vote no when Obama and the Democrats bring it up. Even their own policies, that they themselves came up with or supported on the record. This is a must-see. I’m not kidding - even if you think you are a moderate “above” such politicking, you need to know exactly what is going on in Congress.

Some wonder why I start to foam at the mouth when I try to describe what the GOP is up to. They are playing politics with with my kids future.

Data? Bah!
Among the ranks of the GOP are the science deniers. They don’t need no sticking graphs.
Furthermore, the genius of Karl Rove is often considered that he can turn a weakness into a perceived strength and vice versa. That is a neat trick.
His greatest achievment, imho, was bringing the evangelicals closer into the Republican flock. This is a group of voters that believe something based on faith alone. Better yet, in the face of staggering proof that their faith is misplaced, they hunker down, seeing “data and evidence” as the work of the deceiver.
Progressives will have a hard time challenging this, as we ask to many questions.

Rachael’s against the Bush Tax cuts, so is she going to give back the money she gained from that now? I don’t think so. Fact is this is all sensationalism and everyone’s fed up with it, from both the left and the right. All this bickering isn’t helping anyone. For every stupid act from the right, you can find a stupid act from the left.

The Dems did the same thing when Romney was governor - voted for his proposals…after Patrick supported them

All I can say is “Wow, you’ve got to be kidding me.” Love that Rachel Maddow.
