There, anyone offended?
Seriously, is that the best sort of columnist the Sun can come up with? I’m offended, yes…by the poor writing and the lack of thought behind it, as well as the pathetic faux outrage.
And people wonder why I don’t go read the Sun on a daily basis (even for free online) until someone emails or calls me on an interesting story. It’s because I don’t particularly want to kill brain cells with the drivel in between real news.

I’m offended by myself for having read that entire column. Add Dennis to the list of Shaughnesseys I will never again read.
My favorite bit is when he says it’s hard to get through an hour without offending someone, and as “proof” he writes “Asians are bad drivers.” As if that is just oh so hard to resist saying in casual conversation.
The headline should be changed to: “It’s hard to to be an a-hole when you’re a bigot”.

What a bozo. Oops that’s an insult to clowns everywhere. Someone with a name like Shaughnessy should know how hurtful bigotry is. “No Irish Need Apply”. Even in jest, he shouldn’t have written it. I understand the point he was trying to make, maybe he should’ve made it on another blogga-wanna-be’s site. Another fool who makes an arse of himself when he tries to make a point.

Brutal…yet easily the most interesting thing I’ve read in the sun all year.

Actually Ned, that rant seems like it belongs more on your snarky and harsh blog than it did in the Sun! LOL now that I think of it it reminds me of you guys.
Maybe you can offer Dennis a username over at MMC?

Once again, the Sun is trying to stir up controversy. They publish this stupid article to get people talking about them. I know it’s the first time I’ve visited their website in about 6 months so I guess it worked to boost site traffic. Maybe we should take the tactic of that Southern town that allowed the Klan to have their parade in honor of the first amendment. Then all the citizens proceeded to leave town for the day so there was no one to watch.
When a dumbass makes a racially insensitive statement on Market St. and no one to hears it, does it make a sound?

Snarky and harsh? Ned are we losing our edge?

Dennis Shaughnessey couldn’t carry my jock when it comes to snarky and harsh blogging. And we don’t just let anyone walk into MMC Hqt’s…they have to offer lots of free stuff and “benefits” before we even give them intern status.

*lol* Ok ok I take it back! Sorry for the insult!

Ha ha ha! I loved it!
Only, it should have been titled “For God’s Sake, Somebody Pay Attention to Me!”
