Fellow Lowell blogger, the Mark (Lynch) of mrmillcity addressed the City Council last night to discuss one of his passions: people who own dogs but really shouldn’t.
This video is priceless because the Mark asks the City Council to raise fees so that we can close the budget gap.
And who knew that the reservoir was called “the rez”? It must be a Centraville thing.

HA HA. After meeting with the AAC and the Mayor last night I have a renewed optimism about this problem and it being “curbed”. Not really the firebrand stuff I’m known for but you can’t always bring your A game.

PS: Yes The Rez/Res is a Christian Hill thing if you’re not from that neighborhood- you wouldn’t understand.

Pretty much every lifelong Lowellian, especially those of us that attended LHS and had friends from Centerville, know the knickname of the reservoir is “the res”. Especially if you tipped a few up there.

I attended LHS and am pretty much a life-long resident of Lowell but never had friends who lived on Christian Hill and drank.

Kami is correct in Centraville it was the RES or the DUNES (which are now condo’s) then it was the 17th/Humphrey St. woods were as kids we were known to meet and have a few before the CYO Dance or going to the Drop In.
