Left In Lowell

There was quite a bit of buzz around the new Elizabeth Warren ad. It is playing well in areas outside our local haunts. Of course, when our Mayor and his twin brother are a big part of the Ramahlo endorsement, it’s no surprise that there would be a local buzz, as well.

So, this comes as no surprise, either. Nor does the timing. It is designed to kill the buzz:

LOWELL — City Councilor and former Mayor Rita Mercier, one of the city’s most prominent Democrats, endorsed Republican U.S. Sen. Scott Brown Friday morning in his quest to defeat Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren.

Rita gets played like a fiddle, by the Brown campaign. But, Brown’s staff underestimated our #1 vote collector. This endorsement is ALL about Rita and her lust to get even with Mayor Murphy for firing Diane Bujnowski.
